Henrik Tingström, a former intern at NovAzure, recently had a catch up with one of NovAzure’s Managing Directors, Christopher Gruen. Henrik’s journey from an intern to a founder illustrates how valuable experiences and opportunities can come together to shape a career. Henrik Tingström chose to intern at NovAzure to complement his studies in engineering and geoscience with real-world experience “When I read about NovAzure and the internship position, I kind of realized that everything that I potentially could learn here could be a good complement to basically everything I already knew from this ecosystem,” Henrik recalls. During his internship, he took on tasks like scouting VC firms, creating pitch decks, and conducting market research—skills that have since become crucial in his entrepreneurial journey.
Reflecting on his time at NovAzure, Henrik appreciates the support and guidance he received “We had regular calls, not only for my work but also for my learning, for my aspirations and what I wanted to have out of this internship”. While the mentorship was important, it was Henrik’s own efforts and adaptability that enabled him to confidently engage with investors and clearly communicate his vision.
When asked for advice to the future NovAzure interns, Henrik suggests making the most of the opportunity: “You’re treated with the same respect as everyone else. Accept the internship because it is a really good job opportunity and a really good place to learn.”
