It was interesting to see a couple of trends at the DCW event at London excel this week.
Firstly, the number of liquid cooling providers had increased over last year, and at one of the conference panel sessions Open Compute spoke about the inevitability of the air to liquid transition. Our client, Iceotope, with its Precision Liquid Cooling, was busy handling enquiries on the nVent stand about how their technology meets the challenge of reducing opex and TCO whilst increasing rack densities and accommodating hotter, faster chips.
Secondly, we found that a lot more companies of all shapes and sizes told us this year that data centre decarbonisation is now higher on the priorities list of c-suite leaders. This aligns with our experience at NovAzure. For example, we have recently run a 2-day Hackathon for a large corporate client to help them to consolidate and strengthen their decarbonisation offer to data centre clients.
