Associate Prof Damian Dalton in the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. His research interests cover Sustainability education and promotion, Data centre energy and carbon reduction management, A.I in its application to modelling data centre performance, and energy modelling of computer systems. He was Chair of the Irish Chapter of the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC) from 2018-22.

He is CEO, founder of Beeyon, an award-winning Irish-based company that researches and produces energy management systems for the data centre industry and more recently is his CEO and founder of Europe’s first on-line sustainable lifestyle magazine Utopia-The-Edit. He holds patents and published several papers on advanced Computer architectures, and energy monitoring and management systems. He is also Chair of the UCD symphony Orchestra.

In 2024 he was joint author of five peer-reviewed papers on A.I modeling of data centres that have been highly cited internationally.
