Intro
The Waste Transformers is a developer of a small-scale anaerobic digester solution for food waste-to-energy and biofertilisers.
The Waste Transformers, at the initial phase of its development, faced challenges in extending operational performance beyond its trial units. To propel their business forward, The Waste Transformers are exploring the development of a Waste-as-a-Service (WaaS) model.
This innovative approach aims to accelerate their sales by offering a more efficient and scalable service delivery method for waste management solutions.
“NovAzure has been instrumental in helping us to complete our target of a €10M Series A fundraising, to support the next phase of TWT’s growth. They provided invaluable support through difficult market conditions and the need for business model innovation”
CEO at The Waste Transformers, Lara van Druten
How We Helped
In a strategic move to secure funding, NovAzure managed the entire process of investor engagement. This involved creating detailed business plans, setting up a dataroom, and ensuring thorough investor due diligence.
NovAzure devised an investor strategy that reached out to over 150 potential backers, including family offices, venture capitalists, corporate VCs in the energy and agritech sectors, and infrastructure funds.
The efforts included guiding negotiations from the termsheet phase to finalising a tranched deal with two investors. Additionally, in collaboration with the CEO and Sales Director, they crafted the structure and terms for the Waste-as-a-Service (WaaS) model and identified early adopters for this innovative service.
The Value We Created
NovAzure successfully defined and implemented a comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, encompassing licensing, manufacturing, and service strategies.
The efforts included assembling an investment deck and managing all aspects of the Data Room, leading to the successful conclusion of a €10M funding round.
In 2024, the focus shifted to defining and driving the implementation of the Waste-as-a-Service (WaaS) model. This strategic move involved engaging with infrastructure investors and establishing industrial partnerships, marking a significant step in the company’s growth and service innovation.
